Verdure is an early-stage cleantech initiative with a deep desire to heal our planet dedicated to protecting biodiversity and reducing environmental pollution by developing nature-based alternatives to plastic. Our mission is to replace harmful, non-biodegradable materials with sustainable, compostable, and locally sourced solutions.
Our first innovation is an eco-friendly packaging material made from corn husks and corn cobs, designed to replace thermocol, polyethylene foam, EPE, bubble wrap, and thermocol balls. This innovation transforms agricultural waste into value-added packaging that supports both the environment and local farming communities, a direct replacement for petroleum-based thermocol and plastic packaging.
100% biodegradable and compostable
Made from agricultural byproducts (no new resource demand)
Safe for the environment and non-toxic
Cost-competitive once scaled up
can be molded into various shapes and lightweight
Our Process Flow:
Corn husk & cob collection → Cleaning → Mild acid pulping → Grinding & blending with glycerol → Molding → Heat drying → Finishing & testing
